One Day Workshop
"Resilience is the process of adapating well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or even significant sources of stress including those in the workplace. This practical workshop will examine resilience and strategies, cognitive, behavioural and organisational that will assist you to strengthen resilience in your professional life."

Solutions Approach
Working with People creating solutions
This one day workshop is offered by Davaar Consultancy's Dr Wendy McIntosh. This workshop challenges the medical model approach to working with clients. It is all too esy to see 'problems' and 'issues' and clients who challenge systemic norms can be labelled 'difficiult', manipulative or 'attention seeking'.

2006 Homeless Census is out
Nationally, homelessness has increased from 100,000 to 105,000 with most people staying with family, friends or in a shelter. More families are now homeless reflected by 30% of the homeless population aged under 18.
Queensland's homeless population increased from 24,569 in 2001 to 26,782 in 2006, second only to New South Wales.

Congratulations to David MacKenzie and Chris Chamberlain and their colleagues who worked on the Census. It is an important piece of work contributing to finding solutions.
